Hinge casing broken on Studio 15, now it won't start

This question is not answered

So my laptop was in it's case, I was coming off the train and the strap on my bag broke, the laptop in bag hit the floor (hardly from a great height given the laptop was hanging around my waist) and part of the casing broke. It now won't start so i'm guessing somethings come disloged or broken. Is there a number I can contact to get this fixed, how much will it cost any ideas?

  • Unless you have Complete Care insurance, there's no need to go through Dell.  If it's the hinge only, find a good local computer repair shop - -the cost should run $50 or less for parts and another $50-100 for labor.  If, however, there is damage to the mainboard, you're probably better off replacing the system -- the cost will then exceed more than 50% of what a new system will cost.
