Just installed Windows 7 64-bit OS on my Dell Inspiron 530S. I check my sytstem settings and it says I have 4 GB of RAM but only 3.24 GB usable. I thought installing a 64bit OS would make all 4 GB available. Is there a hardware limitation I'm not aware of or a setting I need to change to make all 4 GB useable? Thanks.

I suspect you have integrated graphics, and so your RAM is shared with the graphics adapter.
Please post back and let me know if you need more help.
Thanks for the reply. It could definitely be a hardware issue like that. 768 MB of RAM deidcated to graphics is more than I would have expected. I wonder if there is a way to get a definitive answer on that. Thanks for the reply!
