Optiplex GX240 Ethernet

This question is answered

Can the onboard ethernet be disabled? If yes how can it be enabled?

  • You should be able to disable it in the BIOS (Setup).   The Dell on-line manuals do not detail the Setup in this model but in all that I've seen there is an option to disable the on-board hardware devices.

I've connected both my Dell Dimension E510 and my home built with an Intel motherboard via UBUNTU (running from the CD) and no problems.
