What Is Realtek High Definition Audio?

This question is not answered

What Is Realtek High Definition Audio? It is listed to be uninstalled, which I would like to do,but I don't know what it is.

In Device Manager, it says it is not connected to my computer.

My Computer: StudioXPS 435T/ 9000 64-bit

  • That is the "integrated" (on the motherboard) sound.  If that is what you have, you do not want to uninstall it.  If you have a separate SoundBlaster sound card then you can uninstall it.  Actually, if you have the SoundBlaster the Integrated audio should be disabled in the BIOS (F2 - Setup) or you could run into a sound conflict problem.
