Audio problem Optiplex GX270

  • Hi. I hope someone can help me. I had to reinstall XP Pro, and ever since, I cannot hear sounds. Can anyone tell which drivers I need to download and the order of install? I Have a Dell Resource disk, but I believe it is incorrect. The disk says it is for Optiplex 320,740,745, and 745c, so I don't now whether to use it or not. In looking at the other posts for audio problems, someone had asked if they had downloaded a chipset driver,but I don't now what that is.

    Thnaks o much in advance, this is driving me crazy!

    It does sound like maybe you got the wrong resource disk, but all the drivers are available from the web site (and are more up to date).
