Dell says shipped - Fedex disagrees?

I ordered a laptop about a week ago and just today I received an email from Dell saying that it shipped, as well as a Fedex tracking number. When I track the package, Fedex just tells me that a shipping label has been created, but the package has not shipped yet. What gives? Is Fedex correct or is Dell correct?

  • The package is probably ready for FedEx to be picked up, hints the tracking number. FedEx hasn't picked it up yet which is why they don't have a record of it yet.
