I am trying to enable all the ports of my mxl switch, but I ran into this error when I am doing the 40G ports:
FTOS(conf)#interface range fortyGigE 0/33 , fortyGigE 0/37 ^% Error: In configuration at "^" marker.
The error marker places it directly below the word (conf) which is really weird. Has anyone seen this before?
Here is the cmd copied from the instructions, I have underlined the command I am trying to run:
Option 2: You can enable all ports at once.FTOS#configureFTOS(conf)#interface range tengigabitethernet 0/1 – 32 , tengigabitethernet 0/41 - 56FTOS(conf-if-range-te-0/1-32,te-0/41-56)#switchportFTOS(conf-if-range-te-0/1-32,te-0/41-56)#no shutdownFTOS(conf-if-range-te-0/1-32,te-0/41-56)#exitFTOS(conf)#interface range fortyGigE 0/33 , fortyGigE 0/37FTOS(conf-if-range-fo-0/33,fo-0/37)#switchportFTOS(conf-if-range-fo-0/33,fo-0/37)#no shutdownFTOS(conf)#exit
a quick investigation shows port 33 as 10G
!interface TenGigabitEthernet 0/33 no ip address flowcontrol rx on tx off shutdown!
and no configuration for port 37 at all. So I guess now the real question is how to change 0/33 into a 40G port instead of the current 10 Gig port
