After purchasing a new computer with windows8, how do I save my windows7 address file?
Can you be a bit more specific? Are you referring to a map drive?
I AM REFERRING TO MY CONTACT (ADDRESS FILES). IS THERE ANY THING SPECIAL THAT I NEED TO DO WITH MY CONTACTS FILE, TO BE ABLE TO USE IT IN WINDOWS 8? DO I NEED TO EXPORT A FILE TO WIN 8 AND IF SO WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE FILE.
Not particularly. If you mean the Contacts in the folder located most likely at C:\Users\'Name'\Contacts with the extension (.contact) all you need to do is copy that folder on a flash drive and paste the files into the contacts folder on the Windows 8 PC. The formats are the similar.
There is nothing special you need to do. The contacts are the same format in Win 7 and Win 8. All you really need to do is copy all your contacts onto a flash drive, and then paste the files into the contacts folder in the Win 8 PC. Both OS use a format '.contact'.
