2)When there is more than 1 driver available which should I be installing? For example under video for the DD 3000 one driver applies to the "Springdale G Intergrated Video" and the other "82865G Graphics Controller".

The original specs for the 4700 call for PC2-3200 (DDR2-400MHz) or PC2-4300 (DDR2-533MHz). You can usually go one or two steps faster than the "supported" RAM (667MHz or possibly 800MHz). Crucial states they guarantee their PC2-5300 (DDR2-667MHz) will work.
