the pa-16 that julzie suggests is a lower wattage version of the pa-10 (60w for the pa-16 vs 90w for the pa-10). useing the higher wattage version would ensure that it will work as a replacement for either model. looking at a inspiron b130 (virutally identically to the inspiron 1300) it came with a pa-16. yours may also have a pa-16 or it may have a pa-10 or even something else. so, as i suggested before, look at your unit for the exact model number.

by battery charger i assume you mean ac adapter. the thing that you plug into the wall outlet on one end, and into the laptop on the other. first i suggest you look at your current adapter for the model number unless you no longer have it. otherwise i would assume you have what dell calls their model pa-10. dell wants too much for this replacement so i suggest that you try ebay. on ebay you will find dell made (dell branded) units as well as many "for dell" units. typically the "for

i understand that dell is sponsoring this forum, and i have no problem operating within the framework of well defined rules. But they do not clearly state their rules and simply hide behind a blanket statement that they can do whatever they want and because of that even intelligent people are at a complete loss of how to conduct themselves. when you do violate the rule that they put into some automaton they edit or delete posts without explanation and that leaves the user unable to avoid repeating
