  • Re: distortion

Hey Howardlee, do you have another GPU that you can test in your Dem 2350 or do you have another computer that you can put your GPU into and see what the results are? That is a quick test, but from your description, it sounds like your card is fried. No changes just prior to this issue, like a Windows update or graphics card update? If the unit is still under warranty, call Dell Tech Support and follow their directions so you can get a replacement. Best, Darrell WV

Thanks for reposting this, it was buried so deep in the old thread that I could not find it again and had not saved the information. Best, Darrell

  • Re: Feedback for Nvidia System Information Dialogue

Carefully read Chris M's original post: "We are looking into improving the functionality of the System Information dialog accessed from the NVIDIA Control Panel. The dialog has information about the GPU like clock speeds, memory, driver version, etc. It would be great to have any usage data on how Dell end-users use this functionality and if there are any known issues associated with it. The feature is still in the design phase where we can use any data you can provide us on usage behavior

  • Re: NEW XPS 730x Owner's thread

Hey Mark, I have my EVGA 295 CO-OP in the bottom slot, which is number 1 on the Dell XPS 730X MOBO, the number 2 slot is the next slot up in the middle and would be the second GPU slot, the top slot next to the PSU is number 3 and would be used for the third GPU, but as the 295 CO-OP is a dual, the second card in slot number 2 makes it a SLI Quad and maxes the MOBO lanes. • Re: XPS H2C 730x slow bios startup, will dell continue to support this machine?

Hello shotyme7, We have very similar XPS 730X systems and my system generally has Win 7 up and open between 45 sec and 60 sec, so you are within the normal ball park as far as loading time is concerned. I did notice that when I moved from Verizon DSL over to Comcast high speed cable that the Comcast program increased the load time, the broadband cable program wants to load its firewall and virus program before anything else gets a chance, and this is not Dell's issue or Dell BIOS issue, it is

  • Re: XPS 630i BIOS Failure: Additional Memory

Hello rlross52, In my personal XPS 630i I have 6 GB of Corsair Dominator memory, without any issue at all, but I have always had the Vista Ultimate 64 bit OS in my rig. My feeling is that your system will not post at all with 6 GB and a 32 bit OS, has really nothing to do with the BIOS failing at all. Take the sticks out and leave them out until you upgrade to the 64 bit OS and make sure you have installed the 64 bit BEFORE you add the additional RAM. Adding RAM in a Dell should not be done just
