Hi,I'v bought recently an Inspirion Desktop 530s with Vista Ulitmate. There was an 640 GB Harddisk included. But that is too big for an OS Harddisk. I like to have my system and data separeated. Now I'v bought additionally a new 320 GB harddisk and want to create the same partations as on the DELL Harddisk. I've tried to clone the Harddisk with Arconis True Image 2009 Home - but it wasn't successful. The repair option (F8) pressing during the booting
I wonder why Dell says the system can only take 4GBs? ...and even many of the memory re-sellers websites list the XPS410 as having a 4GB limit as well. Thanks everyone
Hello coleygm, This update sounds great. This will help others that may want to upgrade to 8GBs of memory on this system. To answer your other question, Dell states this system will not support 8GBs of memory as a marketing ploy to get customers to upgrade to a system that Dell verifies will
Well it's done!I bought Arctic Silver 5 from RadioShack for $10, and used the instructions from the Arctic Silver website. Whole thing was much easier than i thought. Used 91% Isopropyl alcohol to clean the heatsync and processer...then applied the compound as instructed. Re-attached everything and turned it back on. Average temp on the Quad Core previous to installation was 35C ...after application, it's not averaging 28C. Granted, I'm not sure how this

I have no issues at all with the Intel 82566 DC onboard adapter, and have installed the Dell drivers and
Everything is at 5.9 except my memory speed, which is at 5.5, which is what it was at before I added 4 more GB. I'll check which video driver I've got later and reply back... I just downloaded the latest CCC from AMD's/ATI's website.
Hello jsunww, I have the same rating as you. I have 8GBs of 800mhz memory that is rated at 5.5 while all the other components are rated at 5.9. I believe this is because the CPU is rated at 1066 mhz and the memory
I haven't played with the bios much. Is there a way to OC the memory?
Hello jsunww, HERE is a link to the manual for your system. It appears there are no settings that can be made for any memory performance gains. Usually, only the higher end Dell systems have this capability. Hope this helps.
