I have a Dell 9100 with Sigmatel Audio. I found another forum that suggested the following: Go to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Sound Select Speakers/Headphones -> Properties Select the Enhancements Tab Select "Disable all enhancements" This was a valid workaround for me, but I don't like to disable features to work around a problem. Hopefully, this will provide some information until a more robust solution can be posted.

I have a Dell 9100 with a Radeon X300 SE 128MB Hypermemory card. I occasionally see ghosting. I refresh the monitor by right clicking on the background display and selecting properties. I change the color quality from 32bit to 16bit but I don't accept the proposed change. This reverts back to the original display, but the ghosting clears up. I'm not sure what the root of the problem is. I thought that if it was VGA cable noise that it wouldn't consistenly clear up when changing the display settings

I have similar problems with my Dell Dimension 9100 with Win XP SP2 and Radeon X300 SE 128MB Hypermemory video card (fw 6.14.10.0278). To clear the fuzzy text when it appears, I go to display properties and change the color depth from 32 bit to 16bit. After the screen refreshes, I cancel the change. This is enough to refresh the monitor to clear up the text. I keep looking for a firmware update to address this, but none found so far. Also, when playing video in media player I see distorted video
