Anyway, in case anyone cares, I moved the system so that it sits on a wood floor(instead of carpet) and it doesn't do this anymore.

I'm having this same issue on a Studio 540 desktop. I don't have AC so I'm wondering if the hot weather has anything to do with it. It's driving me nuts....
