hello it's any cd you insert it will read randomly. sometimes even after 5 to 6 attempts it don't read the cd inserted. Regards

Hi all, i have an assembled pc from local store running XP SP2 i have combo drive cd rw and dvd only read. from past few months i have been facing issue with rom recogizing my cd. it does but randomly. i never had this problem when i play dvd. i have checked the setting for autoplay of cd . what can be the reason for this my rom is faulty or should i reinstall nero. Regards

Hi e.pierce thanks for the reply, you mentioned "MS SysInternals "PageDefrag"" what is this all about i too regularly defragment my hdd but never heard of this sysinternal page defrag. can u please explain me about this. 1) how do i check whether i have malware effected my pc as i am uing free version of avira ? 2)how do i check unnecessary files which are loaded up in startup in msconfig. ? Thanks for the reply. but once i have seen the same problem in other system which is not branded like dell system. It was assembled from local store so for my knowledge i want to know what is the reason of system booting again and again. i faced same problem with my own system which was due to virus so i use to use system restore feature. What are the other factors which can be considered like OS corrupt, hardware failure of such an issue ?
