  • Re: XPS 435 Owners Thread

Considering purchasing the following for my 1.28 TB Raid 0 (dual 640 GB) 435T: (Thermaltake BlacX External Hard Drive SATA Enclosure Docking Station): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153071 Then probably getting something like this to go with it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284 Thinking the Thermaltake will allow me to use various harddrives I have sitting around to be in use for me again... Called technical Service on Friday - as the left channel speaker of my 2.1 speaker set up was not working. Had sound out of right channel speaker - no sound from left. Did all the regular things before calling - plugged in a MP3 player into the speaker set to verify that it wasn't the speakers.....reloaded the driver.....etc - once I discovered that when I plugged my speakers into the front headphone port and it worked - I was certain it was a hardware problem. [quote user="jjon90"] Angie, That is good to hear! Thanks for letting us know. A couple ?'s, How long did the tech call last? Did the in home tech tweak your settings or just make sure the channel worked? The in-home tech did go into Bios after the motherboard replacement - and changed the Bios over to Raid since that is not

  • Re: Has anyone taken delivery of the New Studio XPS 435?

I've got 6GB ---- and I only have one user - so no sign in screen. The moment that I push the button to the moment that I see the desktop takes 1:10 ---- obviously additional time for things to load up....but, that depends on what everyone's loading in startup - so, this is just to the moment I see the desktop. That's actually a very quick boot up for me --- I've seen it take longer depending on if I've made any changes to my setup etc.... What's everyone seeing for core temps

  • Re: Studio XPS - Are the latest ones still noisy ?????

I received a 435T last week ---- It's VERY quiet in my opinion - I've only heard fans on boot up.....otherwise you can barely tell its on....

  • Re: 435T/MT Boot Times

Mine was 1:10 from button push to viewing desktop....My initial start ups after receiving the computer were taking longer - I think that was due to setting changes and program installs.... Now that things have settled down a bit - it's around 1:10.
