i have a dell 9150 with a 2405fpw 24 inch monitor. i just had to insall new Hard drive and clean install of windows xp. now my cardreaders on the monitor are not working? is there something that needs to be installed to make them work?

i just did a clean instal of windows xp home. I've loaded just about every drive i can find, but all the icons in my tool bar look strange. they are all rough around the edges?anyone know what would be casing this? also, not sure if this is related. when i look at my hardware in windows, for the monitor it just says plug play. i have a dell 2405fpw monitor. should there me something in windows saying thats what i;m running?

Jackshack is right in that at this point i may not have a problem but i do have more questions. to clarify, my goal is to get more capacity and get rid of the old 160gb drives completely. I have manually removed all my important files from the old 160 gb seagates and have them on externals. I have 1 WD Hard drive 1TB installed and I will have another arriving later this week. Hi, I reinstalled win xp home on a dell 9150 now i cant get sound. all the cables have been tripled checked. I loaded the sound card driver from the dell site and still nothing. any ideas on something i could have missed or done wrong? THanks!

Hanspuppa, good info.THANKS! I wasnt a big fan of the mirror concept at first but seems very easy in regards to having a back up. I believe will pursue that route. with regards to this answer: 5 . The two 1 TB drives would have to set up as a Raid1 array, by entering the Intel Matrix Utility, by pressing the ctrl and the I key at the same time when the Intel matrix screen appears. You only have 5 seconds to do this or the system will attempt to boot into Windows. The Raid1 array will have to be created
