Thanks for that quick reply. The memory is Kingston PC3 8500, 1066, cas 7, 1.5 v so according to Newegg and Dell it should work OK. I have used Kingston brand ram before and never had any problems. It is a trade off for taking family pictures to put on their Christmas cards, which should take a couple hours so it is a great deal for me. Thanks again Wayne
Well yesterday ( 11/13/2009 ) at 1:35 PM CST FedEx delivered my XPS 9000. It was built by DELL with i7-920, 12GB Ram, 1TB Drive and Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. There were two DELL P2210 LCD's waiting here from my old system along with 2 new Western Digital 1TB Caviar Black drives and a Sapphire Radeon HD5770 video card. Ordered this system on 10/18/2009 and it is the first new OEM system that I have had in over 10 years. I usually build myself a new system about

It appears that Dell is not the only computer company having delays on delevery. My neighbor wanted a computer for his son-in-law and after reading about the Dell problems decided to order a HP E9280T. His delivery date has been pushed back twice so far. He talked to their sales department and was told the Intel i7 and i5 processors are in short supply right now and that is the holdup. At least HP gave him an answer, true or otherwise. When I had my go arounds with Dell for almost a month, I never

I finally threw in the towel on the Windows 7 upgrade and sent the discs back to Microsoft for a refund. I had 12 days and many attemps and hang ups at 62%. It never got past that. I did everything the advisor and MIcrosoft said to and then some with no luck. I will wait 6 months or so until Microsoft gets the cracks filled in on the upgrade and try it again. What is really strange is I have helped 2 other people do the Windows 7 upgrade with out any problems. one HP computer and 1 Dell, but not
WIth the XPS 8000, I am very concerned with the PSU rated at only 350 watts. I can't help wondering and fearing that Dell is going to have to do a major recall since this doesnt make any sense to me. This and how the nvidia geforce GT 220 is supposed to be one of the WORST cards out there.
I had the same question on my 435T/9000 and it's PSU. I was told by a Dell tech, who actually spoke English that Dell under rates their PSUs by around 15%. which
