• Re: Dell Dimension E521 bios issue (windows 7)
Well, apparently my post before the one above violated the terms of service because I had my service tag in it. Frustrating because its MY service tag and I put it there.
What I find frustrating is the fact that a Dell rep can take the time to remove your post for a service tag TOS, and not have the time to try answering your questions ...

Hello again, I am sorry for your trouble. Dell does not update drivers for a system that is not currently selling. Sad, but true. For your BIOS update, I can only suggest that you try it in XP compatibility mode if your version of Win7 is pro, or ultimate. • Re: Need to update drives on a Dimension 2400..almost 6yrs old

Hello again, So if I understand correctly ... You now have 2GB of memory since you have added a new 1GB chip. You are running Windows XP SP3 with all the critical updates. You have decent AV software that updates daily. Have you ever reinstalled Windows on this system? Or, is this the install that came from Dell? If this is the original install from Dell you should not need most if any of the drivers listed. If you have ever reinstalled Windows we would need to know, so the information provided will

Hello again, Please keep us updated. Good to see that a Dell rep here is trying to help. Bad to see the first ADMIN did nothing but remove your order number from your message.
