Yes. However They dont take very much space. I would actually save that to a flash drive for later re-installs should an issue arise.

And one way to be infected by such things is to click on a web link posted via email or a forum. Even if its someone you know you should never "click here" with a machine that can become infected. This is one of the reasons I don't dump my Non intel Mac Hardware.
