Dell Community Single Sign On FAQ's

Dell implemented Single Sign On between Dell Community and Dell.com

The next time you sign in to the Dell Community simply use your My Account email address and password.  If you forgot your My Account password, go to the top of any www.Dell.com  page and click on My Account and from the sign in page, click Forgot Password and follow the steps there.

Within the community, you will still be identified with your existing community username.

We thank you for being a valuable member of our Dell Community.  We hope that after this transition to Dell Community Single Sign On, you will also find increased value across the Dell.com site for eSupport, shopping, and saving information to your account.

Note: To participate in the Dell Community you must register. If you do not have a Dell MyAccount simply click the Join hyperlink at the top of the page and follow the steps to create your Dell My Account.

How do I create a My Dell My Account and Link it to my Dell Community User Name (or newly provided Community User Name)?

Step 1: Click on Join at the top of the page

The sign-in/registration page displays.

Step 2: To create an account click "Create Account."

 

To create an Dell My Account and join this site you must provide the following information.

Your name 

Email address - Your email address. This must be in a valid email address format and should be an account that you actively use. Using a false email address will prevent you from gaining some of the benefits of this community. The email address you use here will only be visible to yourself within the community. If you are concerned about providing a correct email address and possible misuse then you can view Dell's privacy policy

Create a password - The password is case sensitive and must contain one number. This should be something memorable to you.

Click Create Account and you will arrive at this page.

    1. Enter you First Name and Last Name
    2. Click on ‘Use Existing Dell Community User Name -- (enter on separate screen)’ radio button
    3. Create the password
    4. Confirm the password
    5. Accept the ‘Community Terms of Service’ and Click on ‘Complete
      Registration’

Step 3: Linking your (Existing or New Provided) Dell Community Username

Once you're signed into Dell My Account. You will arrive at this page. Enter your community username and password on the left side and click on ‘Sign in’

Please note: You may need to enter the new community user name that was emailed to you.

Please note:  This is a onetime process.  From now on your Community username will be associated with your My Account. Going forward, to comment on the Dell Community or enter a forum post, you will sign in only using your My Account email address and password.

 

 

 

 

How do I sign into my Dell My Account and Link My Existing (or Newly Provided Dell Community User Name)?

Step 1: Click on Sign In at the top of the page 

Step 2: Enter your DMA email address and password and click Sign In

Step 3: Linking your Existing or New Provided Dell Community User Name

 Once you’re signed in, You will arrive at this page. Please click on the ‘Use Existing Dell Community Username’ option

 Step 4:  Enteryour community username and password then click on ‘Sign in’

Please note:  This is a onetime process.  From now on your Community username will be associated with your My Account. Going forward, to comment on the Dell Community or enter a forum post, you will sign in only using your My Account email address and password.

 

 

How do I sign into my Dell Community Account going forward?

Now that your Community User Name is linked to your My Account signing in will be simple!

Step 1: From dell.com just click on My Account at the top of the page




Step 2: Sign in with your My Account Credentials (Email address and password)

Step 3: Click on Community at the top of your screen and you will land on your Community Page 

You can also go to your Dell Community Site and click on Sign In at the top of the page.  Dell Community is available in the following languages: Signing into your My Account allows you access to the Dell Community Sites below.

What if I forgot my Password? 

If you have forgotten or lost your “My Account” password simply  follow the steps below:

Step 1: Go to Dell.com Click on "My Account" in the top right

Step 2: Click Forgot Password?

Step 3: Type the e-mail address that you use to sign in to the Dell website, and then click Continue.

Step 4: Check your e-mail. When you receive an e-mail with the subject line Dell.com Password Assistance, follow the instructions in the e-mail to reset your password

 

 


Are you having trouble linking your My Account to your existing community user name?


If you received an email from Dell Community about this single sign on process, please review the
steps in the email to ensure you utilize the correct user name.

Please ensure you are using the same email address that you received the Dell community email from.  This is the email address already tied to your community user name.

If you need assistance, please email us the error message or problem and include the community email that includes your email address and community user name.

 

 

 

Will the My Account email address or full name be visible on the Community?

Within the community, you will still be identified with your community username.  You can always provide more details in your public community profile if you want to add your
full name and/or email address.
