Bios A11 and Links 2003 game

This question is answered

I am hesitant to upgrade my Aurora R4 to A11 (currently 07) due to the Links golf workaround working so beautifully...I know Tesla has helped getting my golf "on" with the USB input device workaround, and am wondering if this ONE. OLD game will be able to use this solution with the new A11 Bios...

(I'm hopin' Tesla still has a lil' golf fever and sees this)

  • Well, I have Aurora R1, so I have no way of testing it.

While I did chat with the Developer way back when, it seems it is not fixable. While he seems to have source-code for Links2003, I don't think he has source to core Game Engine (where incompatibility is). From the Dell side, never heard anything back from them on a proper fix.

As for flashing R4 BIOS, I wouldn't unless you need to fix something (due to general bricking/killing MB risk).

  • Thank you very much for the information. I have had this R4 for 14 months and have not had one issue with this machine, so I'll leave her as is and consider myself lucky. Thanks again for the reply.
