I was just about to order the 18 with all the extras as I will be back to Canada for a couple of weeks in August. I live and work in Shanghai, China and if I order it and it's not shipped on time, it's going to cost me about $200 to ship it to Shanghai and then I would have to pay taxes and duty. I need to hold-off until I'm sure I can get it!
Let me know if you can actually get your computer or not MRORGAZMO. If their sales service is really this bad, I'm just going to buy another MacBook Pro which sucks for games but at least I'll have a computer!
July 3rd (Day 1) - I submit my order for $6000 Alienware 18 (Fully Loaded with Max Options) (Estimated Delivery June 26th)
July 20th - I'm told there is a problem with a SKU for a part number and the order needs to be re-ordered. The bad SKU was for (PART#: 1 730-5419 - Thank You for Choosing Dell)
July 25th - The Computer was finally reordered after calling customer service 12 times (NO JOKE). No one knew how to fix the order. They then put me in back of the line for THEIR OWN ERROR and now Estimated Delivery is August 14th.
August 15th - Order has been updated to Estimated Shipping date of August 21st.
I'm seriously pulling my hair out right now... They put my machine on PRIORITY a month ago... I can't imagine what would happen it it were not on priority. Has anyone had this luck like this with Dell/Alienware?
