i recently got my M14X R2 and i can't configure inside BIOS Setup because it's locked. What is default password to unlock setup?

Call Alienware support, I've made a couple of calls already, they were really good as far as I'm concerned. In fact, I'll be calling again about my display, starting to see really tiny vertical lines, almost like I can see through to the light behind the screen. Not noticeable on the dark desktop though.. good luck

What options are you trying to change in the Bios? Explain locked. We do not ship our systems with the Admin Password turned on. Did you set one and then forget it?

I just want to set the harddisk to non-raid and my m-SATA as 1st boot device but i found the whole BIOS setup is locked under security. When i press on "Unlock Setup" i need to enter password where i don't have any in my mind. I didn't set anything on BIOS configuration. Is there a way to clear BIOS like i remove the battery or so? I haven't open it, just to double confirm if it will work or not.

Did you buy the system new from us or refurbished/used from a reseller?

i have same problem i have dell vostro 1500 and today i tried to change first boot device in my bios setup but its locked by admin i didn't lock it before and i did not remember to set a password there, would you please help my <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy> and my bios version is 6
