http://www.notebookcheck.net/Case-Study-Replacing-the-Video-Card-of-a-Dell-Inspiron-E1705-9400.4187.0.html

and would appreciate your recommendation for a video card and best source to purchase. I do use my computer for gaming, but do a lot of photo editing and beginning video movie making. When it operated, the screen was magnificent, no bad pixels. Except for the video, the machine served me well and I would like to keep it operating. Has Dell done anything to offer replacement part warranty/credit?

I've been struggling without this driver for weeks, until I read your comment on that subject.

This isn't new for me; I got a pile of GX270s two years ago whose ethernet interfaces had been inactivated for some reason, possibly because they were in a library. I didn't have trouble with those GX270s, but just could not crack the case of the GX280s.

Charging someone who bought a laptop from them 50 dollars for a password isnt a very good personal practice. Maybe for a money hungry company like Dell.. yea it makes $$. Maybe this is why their factories are goin under. One of such factories is laying people off left and right after gettin millions in incintives for moving to the state.. it hasnt delivered any promises and has been threatened to be fined many times. It was to move there to provide jobs. It did not meet even a 1/3 of such.. and now is laying its employeees off left and right. this is after using all the incentives it was given. Is this a good business practice?? I asked for help.. you did not answer my question in any way. i guess its against the rules in dell comm. if you want to bypass paying for something that should be free. Iv seen quiet a few cases on net of the same problem. A mysterious admin password being required after a hardware change.. seems like a scam to me. Dell has caught alot of fire for shady business.. and for their shotty pcs and laptops. You.. Mr dell.. should know this more thn anyone. They in last couple of years are just recovering from all the bad publicity. To sum it up.. i said at bottom of my question for people that wanted to help to answer.. maybe that wasnt clear enuff for you.. but thanks for the lame remark.. and the info i already had. Hope you enjoy your job workin for a *** company. Dont bother replying to this.. im deleting my account since there are people like you that like to refuse to help. and furthermore have to be rude about it. btw.. look up the factories in NC if you want to see what dell is really like. This comment could have been avaoided if you had read ALL of my post..you insult me.. i insult back. have fun trying to prove your worth on a *** site fixing problems that dell themsleves should fix.. or avoid.. mainly by making decent computers. Have a nice day

inspiron battery boot problem solved

ejn63
