  • Volume is 50% on Inspiron 1525

    I have an Inspiron 1525 with Vista and the volume of the sound does not seem to be at 100% even when the volume control shows that it is. The interesting thing is that when I open windows media center and turn the volume all the way up it shows the meter at 50%. Given the sound coming out of the laptop...

  • Eh? What was that you said? Default Beep is TOO LOUD

    I have a Latitude D630. I know how to use the audio controls through the control panel. However, there is a default beep that occurs under certain circumstances. It does not seem to be possible to control the volume of this beep. It is some kind of primitive warning that occurs under infrequent conditions...

  • Microphone Volume Control

    I have a Dell Vostro 1000. I was able to get the microphone input to work using the registry edits that have been posted already, but now I can't control what the actual volume is. The "Input Monitor" volume slider in the Volume Control window will not move up or down. Any ideas? Thanks...

  • Sound on Inspiron 1525

    I just got my brand new Inspiron 1525 laptop the other day. Now is it just me, or is the sound quality REALLY poor? Even when I turn it up to 100%, I have to struggle to actually hear anything. For such a good system, and for the amount of money payed for it, I would expect much better sound quality...

  • Inspiron 4000 windows ME not much sound - nothing works!

    I have literally had 4 of these inspiron 4000 notebooks laptops and all of them have the exact same problem. It has sound but not near enough.
