    stevebor1: Thanks for your input. I have not revisited this probem in a while, but you may be onto something with the HDMI cable. I also have the Hybrid connected to a receiver with standard audio cables. If I select my stereo system speakers as default, rather than the TV speakers, maybe I will be able...

    All, I tried selecting my stereo receiver's speakers as my default playback speakers rather than my HDMI-connected TV speakers. I have 2 connections running from my Studio Hybrid to my receiver.
