  • Dimension 3000 power supply and PCI video card

Is there a replacement Power Supply for the Dimension 3000 that has a 400W or so capacity and is a straight plug-in and bolt-in unit for this system? My son has tons of USB stuff running on this system already and we will be installing a new PCI video card. My concern is that the stock PSU may not be...

  • Re: Add new video card to an old Dell Dimension 2400?

Thanks The_Namek and TheRealFireBlade, That's what I thought, PCI is PCI. But how do I fit a three-tabbed card (small-big-small) into a slot that looks like it will only fit two (small-big)? Do two of the card's tabs fit into the big slot? Two more related questions since I have your attention...

  • Dimension E521 - Power Supply Upgrade

I've got a used Dimension E521 and I'm adding ram (4gigs DDR2 800mhz) and the video card from my old machine (GeForce 7800GT 256mb). Right now the tower has the factory 305W power supply. Will a regular aftermarket power supply (like the Antec EA650) fit in this case or does it use some wanky...

  • Precision T3400 Power Supply

I recently ordered a new Precision T3400 (which 2 weeks later I'm still waiting on thanks to a Fedx screwup) but am concerned that the stock 375w power supply isn't going to run the new ATI HD 4870 vid card I'm going to buy. • Can I upgrade the Power Supply on the Studio Slim for an upgrade graphics card?

I'm very interested in getting the Studio Slim as I want to use it as a HTPC. The one thing that is holding me back is that the video card offering isn't exactly what I'm looking for. The card I would use would need to have a 300w power supply and the studio slim only has 250w. Can I change...
