  • CPU upgrade in Dell Inspiron 530

    Hey, I have a Dell Inspiron 530 and I want to upgrade my CPU to a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600. Thinking it works, I bought it and I put it in the PC and try starting up and all I get is all the fans moving the DVD R/W works and the HDD is working but the light won't turn blue and nothing is displayed...

  • Big Problem with my Dell Dimension 4700

    Last night I decided to do some upgrades to my Dimension 4700, I installed a new video card, hard drive, and some more memory. So I plug everything up and I get a soilded amber light on the front of my case (none of the diagnostic light on the back are lit) , also the case fan sounds like a jet engine...

  • Dell Dimension 5150, start switch probelem

    My start switch doesnt seem to be working. sometimes the computer turns on sometimes it doesnt. recently it hasn't been powering on and an amber light flashes when i press the switch. Should i have the switch replaced, and where can i get the parts from ? any suggestions ? i really need this computer...

  • D-E520 Desktop - Blinking Orange Light

    My E520 has a blinking orange power button light. I went through the online wizard. It seams to be the power supply. What number do I call to get a new power supply? Do have to send in the desktop or can Dell send me a new one? Other thoughts?
