I wonder if I am the only one having the following problem with my Latitude E4300 laptop. If after a days work I put the laptop in Hibernate mode and connect it to the AC power supply so that it can recharge its batteries, the next morning I always find that the laptop has switched itself back on and...

I have a Latitude D600 with 1G ram and plenty of HD space, running XP Pro with all the latest updates applied. I hybernate by closing the laptop and the drive becomes very active, then the laptop turns off. I open it up, press the power button, then it boots up, looks like it is loading the h. info with...

I had almost the same problem with the same model and none of the tips here helped. That is, my computer went into hibernation seemingly fine, but when going out of it only restarted. This is most likely due to the old version of SafeGuard Easy (a disc encryption program) that's installed on my PC...

The following hotfix available by email from MS appears to have resolved the problem. http://support.microsoft...

When i try to put my inspiron 1501 into hibernation it crashes and then reboots. When windows restarts, it says that a driver sent a stop error and caused windows to stop unexpectedly. I checked all the drivers, they are working fine. I have since reformatted the disk, reinstalled windows, and reinstalled...
