    i too have had the problems with the media softkeys. even tech support agrees they have done everythng they can to fix. still not working. computer is 2 weeks old. can't get live person in customer service to try to get replacement. any suggestions? this is very frustrating as it was early Christmas...

  • Hard Drive for Inspiron 1720 (no adapter)

    I just purchased a new hard drive to add on my inspiron 1720. It won't work without an adapter? What is up with that and shouldn't I have been told when I bought the drive from Dell that said it would work? PS: Why are so few of the questions solved? Jerry

    hiya - sorry for lack of response :) i got word from technical support and they've had me do a series of PC restore jobs - restoring software back to when i first got the computer etc - but it hasnt changed anything - i didnt think this would work as i don't think its a software issue - i only...

  • Inspiron 700M - Audio goes out when I open laptop more than 45 degrees

    When I open my laptop the audio only works if the laptop is open less than 45 degrees. Works fine until about 45 degrees and then off. I can then move the screen back and it comes back on.Obviously this is a problem. Has anyone had this problem? Inspiron 700m Laptop

    The HDD model in my Latitude D610 is Toshiba MK8026GAX Average Transfer rate calculated with HD Tune is 28.1MB/sec / Access Time ~18ms Current RAM Speed is 266Mhz --- Thinking of getting the Samsung HM160HC drive which gives around 51MB/sec transfer rate and 2 x1GB Crucial RAM PC5300. Will report back...
