  • Any love for Windows 7 Beta coming?

Just wondering if Dell is working on updating their driver support for Windows 7 Beta. Several of the drivers that I need will not install due to "unsupported OS". I have an XPS 420 that came pre-packaged with Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit; I recently installed a dual boot system to include...

  • Windows 7 drivers for dell 1110 printer

I'm currently running the Windows 7 x64 public beta build 7000 and want to install my dell 1110 printer. Since Microsoft has made an effort to make everything backwards compatable with Vista, I downloaded the x64 Vista drivers (since there are no Windows 7 drivers available under the drivers page...

  • windows 7 driver issue with m1330

I upgraded to the beta from vista 32bit, and after the upgrade the touchpad ceased to function. I tried reinstalling the vista drivers from dell's site and also the drivers directly from synaptics site. Neither one worked. I let windows search for drivers and it installed some touchscreen drivers...

I have purchased five different Dell desktop systems over the last 3-4 years, the last two with Windows Vista installed as the OS. • Re: Windows XP cannot install in Studio 1537 .

To solve the blue screen of death durring XP installation, either switch the SATA option from AHCPI to IDE by entering Bios at start up (F2), or slipstream Service Pack 3 and the correct SATA drivers into your installation disc using nLite. All of the drivers needed to install windows XP 32bit or 64bit...

  • Vista 7 compatibility

Does Dell have any Desktops that are certified for Windows 7? It's time to buy a desktop, and I'm positive I'll want Windows 7 installed soon after it's released. I don't want to find that a clock doesn't keep time, or a display driver is incompatible, or Dell Support saying "Sorry...

  • Re: Studio 17 NOT eligible for upgrade to WIn 7?

The sad thing is that if the laptop is still under warranty and you install Windows 7 Dell will no support the OS even if the laptop meets the requirments. This doesn't seem fair to me they have your money and there is very little you can do except contest the payment to Dell with your credit card...
