  • Re: Unable to connect to router in Windows 7

I should have been more specific. Windows 7 will detect my router or a free wireless router. What is does not do, on my router at home, is reslove the identity of the router. No I did not use the homenetwork wizard as it did not detect my wireless PCI card until I installed the WINXP driver for the wireless...

  • Mobility Radeon X1300 driver for Windows 7 x64

I'm running the Windows 7 beta on an Inspiron 6400, and I figured I might as well try the 64-bit version. But nowhere can I find a 64-bit driver/s for any of ATI's Mobility Radeon series. ATI's site says to check the manufacturer's, but Dell's gives no hint as to what to do for 64...

  • windows 7 driver issue with m1330

I upgraded to the beta from vista 32bit, and after the upgrade the touchpad ceased to function. I tried reinstalling the vista drivers from dell's site and also the drivers directly from synaptics site. Neither one worked. I let windows search for drivers and it installed some touchscreen drivers...

  • Precision M4300 Bios problems with last two BIOS revisions A12 and A13

If you use the D/Dock with the Precision M4300 (and probably the M2300 and M6300 as well), quad monitor support is lost. No matter what I do, I cannot restore quad monitor displays using two vidoe cards (one PCI card in the D/Dock). The system will only detect one card. My guess is that the new BIOSes...

  • Re: Inspiron 1525 Integrated WebCam not working in Vista 64bit (new install)

I wanted to update a recent development. After becoming so frustrated with the lack of support, DELL included, I decided to switch back to my original installation that shipped with my laptop, Vista 32 bit Home Edition with Dell Media Direct 3.5. Well, of course, this being DELL, something had to go...

  • Windows 7- Inspiron 6000 No Wireless

After installing the Windows 7 beta on my Dell Inspiron 6000, the wireless adapter was not found by Windows so the only way to connect to the network is through Ethernet. The adapter is the Intel Pro/wireless 2200bg. I've tried the latest driver from Dell with no success.

  • Question on Dell providing free upgrade to Dell customers for Window 7 OS when available

I have purchased five different Dell desktop systems over the last 3-4 years, the last two with Windows Vista installed as the OS. I recently read where once the new Microsoft Windows 7 OS is released for sale later this year, that some vendors will provide a free upgrade from Vista Premium to Windows...

  • win7 on mini 9?

I ordered a Mini 9 in February and so far it is still in production. Apparently the broadband modem is backordered. Having read other posts on here about delays, I have a bad feeling about this, like I am never going to receive this computer (if an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is). All...

  • Re: Windows XP cannot install in Studio 1537 .

To solve the blue screen of death durring XP installation, either switch the SATA option from AHCPI to IDE by entering Bios at start up (F2), or slipstream Service Pack 3 and the correct SATA drivers into your installation disc using nLite. All of the drivers needed to install windows XP 32bit or 64bit...
