Just bought a XPS 435MT. Love the box, with one exception. The eSATA port on the back isn't working. I would assume that it's a driver issue except that the BIOS doesn't see my eSATA drive either. Tried different cables, with no luck. Thoughts?

I have Windows 7 (64-bit) installed on one of my PC's and the 1235cn connected to my network. I originally tried Dell's 64-bit Vista print driver but it said that it was "not compatible with this Operating System" and would not install at all. I went to Samsung's website and downloaded...

Wayne: I have also installed Windows 7 RC (Build 7100) 64 bit on an XPS 1530 in a separate partition (dual booting). The only oddity I have found is that the touch sensitive volume controls do not work, and installing the Dell Quickset has no effect. You will have to manually change volume using the...

Does anyone know if Dell will support Win7 on the Inspiron 1720? It seems to me that more manufacturers simply don't support their computers on anything other than the OS in use at the time the computer was sold. Most likely this is an attempt to sell more hardware, however the Inspiron 1720 should...

come on people, is no like your computer came without OS, I bought a laptop in dell Mexico and got the same issue since the update site is global, I've been told (by tech support) that you can apply for the update until dec 31, so for me 3 weeks isn't a big deal.

I was printing fine on this printer with my Dell Inspiron 1525 running Vista Home Premium. I recently upgraded to Win 7 eval (build 7100) and can no longer print on from it (can print from this computer to other printers at work). The error I get is: "Incorrect Port Detected. This printer is designed...

[quote user="Jim Lewis"] Same issue for me. Think the nVidia driver has something to do with it as I accepted a nVidia driver offered through Windows Update after installing Win7 RC 64-bit. The lockups were terrible. I went back to the nVidia driver that shipped on the System/Drivers disk and...

In hopes of aiding anyone else encountering this issue, I went through the following to get my Dell AIO 926 working on Windows 7 x64. For me, it required disabling Windows UAC and installing the printer driver from Windows Update. Though I'm not interested in re-enabling it, if you want to use UAC...

Hey, I'm pretty sure others will be interested in this too so I thought I'd ask here. I bought the 1535 last year with Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I will be getting Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Here are my questions: 1. Where would I find the correct drivers? Should I just use the Vista 64 drivers...

I just bought my Dell Studio XPS Laptop on Sept 1 and of course didn't receive it until a week and a half later. Everything was great until I tried to register for the upgrade for Windows 7. Thats when the trouble began. I was told then that my service tag wasn't working. No problem I thought...
