  • Re: Make a bootable USB key of the Dell Ubuntu iso image for Mini 9

From what I can see, both here and atwww.mydellmini.com, they keep changing the location. I just (28 Nov 2008, 8:21 CST) FTP'd in and found it at ftp.dell.com/OS/Inspiron_910_Ubuntu_A00.img - but dont expect that link to last very long. MrElPresidente

  • Mini 9 with ubuntu freezes

I bought and received a mini 9 with ubuntu about a month ago, and recently it has started freezing to where the only option is a hard reboot- not even Ctrl-Alt-Del works. I am new to working with linux, and so have not had much luck in figuring out why it should be freezing, since there is no pattern...

  • Re: Using the Dell monitor internal card reader under Linux

Just to follow up on this, I finally figured out how to get the card reader working. It turns out the device appears as a SCSI device with multiple LUNs, but the kernel doesn't probe all the LUNs by default (if you compile your own kernel.) You need to enable "Probe all LUNs on each SCSI device"...
