    I'm afraid I haven't a solution for you, KiKi, just because I'm having the same issue with my Vostro 1500 (which is, I believe, very similar to your 1520, at least on the inside). One question... are you running XP or Vista? I have XP and the only thing I can possibly relate it to is SP-3...

    Hey, ever'buddy!! I found a fix! Taskbar Repair Tool Plus! http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm It appears to work quite well- my icons are BACK on reboot without my having to put 'em in manually! AND it is FREE! I am elated!!
