Firewire Express card - Windows 7 driver problem

With Windows Vista 32bit installed on my Dell Vostro 1700, the Chronos MP381CB Firewire Express card works great, but with a fresh Windows 7 64bit installed, the 1700 detects the card, but cannot find any drivers for it. All the Windows 7 updates had been done. Everything else works perfect, except for the Express card......which is the most important piece of hardware in my setup, because I record 2 firewire video cameras live, directly to harddrive.

Any ideas anyone?

Or must I go back to XP?

Gerry

Re: Firewire Express card - Windows 7 driver problem

I would look for a new, Windows 7 compatible, firewire express card such as this Belkin card   Click Me which lists it's compatible.

Dimension E510 with D925 CPU and Vista Home Premium 32 bit

Home Built PC with Q6600 CPU, 8GB RAM, HD4850 Video, HTO Striker 7.1 Audio Card - Windows 7 64 bit Professional

Sonar 8.5.1 ( Producer) DAW Software/Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 Recording Interface and Frontier Tranzport wireless controller.
