DELL XPS M1330 will not turn on

I have a DELL XPS M1330 a little over a year old.   Today, I left it installing Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and when I came back it was turned off and would not turn on.   The Adapter seems to be working fine except the green light goes off as soon as I plug it into the Laptop.   I've seen posts on other forums (non DELL) that suggest that this might be a problem with the M1330.   I had an earlier problem with the display adapter which DELL replaced in April of this year.   That seemed to relate to the high temp the DELL seems to work at.    Anyway now out of Warranty and rapidly turning from being a DELL fan.   Any help or information would be appreciated.
