OK....I just bought a Dell IN1910n Widescreen monitor from WalMart....The included diskette contains the drivers for Windows Vista....I am trying to get the proper configuration between my Video adapter and monitor....My adapter only supports up to 1200x something and I need the adapter to work at 1366x768....The monitor will not work at all.....I'm running Windows XP on a Dimension 2350 with an Intel chipset....
Am I screwed ?
Installing the latest Intel graphics driver might bump up your resolution options - I believe this is the correct one (that's assuming it doesn't throw back at you that it can't install because it's OEM):

The driver Dell lists for the monitor says it's compatible for both VIsta and XP - might as well try that too (this is the main page - select IN910N from the pulldown):

Theoretically the Intel chips supported a pretty decent range of resolutions, but in practice nobody was using much more than a 17" standard CRT (or maybe an LCD) - never mind a widescreen. I'll cross my fingers for you.
'Tis a poor carpenter that blames his tools.
Thanks....I'll try the Intel Driver....The Dell one will not work.....Thanks
Is the IN1910N listed in the device manager under Monitors?
