Re: Poweredge Serve 2500 Battery

Does it mention which battery? The motherboard has a battery. This will likely be a CR2032 (standard for most PC motherboards). However, there's also a possibility that your PERC battery needs replacing. In that case it's a whole different story and you'd have to determine which exact PERC model you have.

Re: Poweredge Serve 2500 Battery

The motherboard battery is located near the PCI/PCI-X slots per this drawing/picture. You'd want to check the battery itself, but if it's indeed a CR2032, you can pick it up at most electronic stores (e.g. Radioshack in the US) for maybe $2.

The PERC3Di battery is Dell unique and will most likely be harder to get (order online from Dell or another vendor that sells Dell spare parts, or find on Ebay or so). Here is an example of a vendor that has such a battery. If you want to check other vendors, look for that 57DHN partnumber (Dell partnumber for that battery).
