Win 7 upgrade wants to delete WLAN Card Utility

I'm upgrading from Vista Home Premium to Win 7 with discs from Dell today. Put in the Assistant disc and it says my Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility will have to be deleted b/c incompatible with Win 7.  Course I'm too nervous now to proceed with installation. When I emerge at the end I won't have wifi connectivity? What should I do?

There is another thread about this same issue. Here is the answer. You do not need the utility you only need the driver. So go ahead and get the driver before hand. Install 7. you may also find that 7 will install a driver. If not just install the driver you previously downloaded. And if there is no window 7 driver just get the Vista driver

Just pop in the Win7 DVD you don't need the Assistant DVD. Reboot and install fresh copy, it has all drivers on it.  If you want the Dell Support Program use the other DVD after install

Just delete what the installation says needs to be installed. You will get a driver installed during the installation. If it says you can reinstall the original driver, go ahead. The installation program just doesn't seem to like wireless during the installation. Make sure you connect to the internet by wire before the installation, as updates will be downloaded during the install.
