CHABABA that is an amazing accounting of your attempt to purchase a XPS 16 from Dell! Had I not read it with my own eyes i would have thought someone was mocking me! ONE WEEK turn around...ouch, that leaves a mark!
This is the exact experience I have had as well, from initial order dates, change in delivery, and finally the WAY out there 11/23..."oh yes you will surely have it on or before" new estimated delivery date!
Had you included a line stating they actually cancelled your order, and reissued it under another number I would have fallen out of my chair! The next Dell rep that tells me I only recently placed my order and will have to be patient while those before me have their systems built is going to hear me blow a fuse i am affraid!
It is certainly not a good day to be working at DELL... Dell it IS your fault if you cannot complete our order because your suppliers delay/ backorder products, you should not advertise their availability if you cannot complete the order as advertised.
it is simple....PULL THIS ITEM FROM YOUR WEBSITE UNTIL YOU HAVE AVAILABILITY!
