Connecting wirelessly

Our school just purchased 50 Netbooks. We are using XP as an operating system.  We have roaming profiles on our network. The netbooks won't connect wirelessly unless we wait about 5 minutes to log on after start-up.  We have Lenovo Think Pads which work just fine on our wireless network. Is there a solution to this issue?

Re: Connecting wirelessly

Diana C,

Your schools IT Department should be able to take care of these issues. We really don't want to go against the IT Department and they may have policies on the computers.

Hint, shutdown unnecessary programs at startup.

If in the Printers Forum, please include the Make and Model of Printer and how the printer is connected. Thanks.

Re: Connecting wirelessly

I need more than hints.  Our IT consultant hasn't been able to resolve this issue.
