Analog input self test

Unhooked tower from monitor, keyboard, mouse and moved the desk.  Plugged everything back in although the analog cable needed an extension.  Now when the monitor goes to sleep, this annoying message about Analog input Self Test Feature Check is displayed and moves across the screen.  How do I turn this off?  Dell 19 inch FP monitor.  Thanks

Re: Analog input self test

If you connect the monitor directly using the original cable do you get the same problem?  If not, the extension cable you are using is causing the problem (some will not work with cables over a certain length too).   If it still does it, without the extension cable, it sounds like either a setup button on the front could be causing the problem or something was damaged internally with the move.   If the monitor is the problem and it's still under warranty contact Dell.  If it's out of warranty, live with the inconvenience as the only other option is to buy a new monitor.
