Re: Video Card Benchmark Test

Laptop/cards in my sig:  385?

That was without closing background processes, but 385 seems a low score, considering you got 430 from the 8800GT's in your XPS 630 Chris?
I realise the XPS 630 is a desktop system, but I'd have expected better of 8800M GTX's in SLi - even if they are laptop cards?

Unfortunately - Freestone haven't included any benchmark results for 8800 GTX SLi configurations under Vista.
But single 8800 GTX figures are 381 - 682, so my laptop 8800M GTX's are right at the very lowest end of the scale Surprise

TheRealFireblade, All,

The test is ignoring SLI. I cannot speak to the laptop score. Let me ask the guys on other boards to post.

DELL-Chris M:

TheRealFireblade, All,

The test is ignoring SLI.

Aaah... that would explain it!

Many thanks for letting me (/us) know Chris... and I look forward to any additional info' you can glean from elsewhere Yes

And please... you can call me by my first name... Fireblade Stick out tongue

Speaking of which... although completely OT... can you ask the relevant person who deals with community forums usernames etc, if the username Fireblade is available now?

I suspect it may have been me who used it originally - with an older email address, but I forgot my password, so I had to choose a different name - hence TheRealFireblade?

I haven't seen anybody using it on the forums though, and I'd very much like to use just 'Fireblade' - if it's possible?

I'll happily discuss it with you further via PM though - to prevent cluttering up the thread, and feel free to edit this post, to remove all discussions of it Wink
