Wireless Network

Hi all,

I will be receving my XPS M1530 soon. Currently i am accessing the internet using an ADSL router and i have an Ethernet LAN. I want to set up wireless so i would need a router obviously. I will setup name of network, security etc. Are there are any specific setup things on the laptop that i need to be aware off? This is just a question i don't have any problems currently.

Thanks

Re: Wireless Network

meet.shah,

I usually recommend using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings to help make your connection work great. Your setup should look like...

wall > ISP Modem/router > wireless router > wired/wireless

DSL Filters need to be on all devices, phones, answering machines, faxes, etc..., everything except the DSL modem/router, itself. You may share a DSL Filter.

wall DSL Filter > Splitter > Multiple devices

Please remember cordless phones, 2.4gh interfere with the wireless routers and should NOT be used.
