windows dvd maker

I asked this on the general forum but got no help.

I have Windows DVD Maker on my new Inspiron. It will not load the opening page "Saving Memories on DVD" that gives you some options on how to run the DVD. It makes the DVDs fine, but missing the options makes for odd playback.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Re: windows dvd maker

captaintom,

Do you have the Vista Codec Package 5.06 Final to play the DVD back?

Re: windows dvd maker

Rick

I have the Windows DVD Maker program that was on the Dell Inspiron that I just bought.

The program works fine in making DVDs. I just cannot control some of the features such as transition time. The DVD plays a slide show by zooming in and out of each picture as they are shown. This gets nausiating after a while and I want to change the transition. The page "Savings Memories on DVD" page that has that function is not on my computer.

What can I do?

Thanks,

Capt Tom
