Need a new video card for XPS 400

Hi: I currently have a Dell XPS 400, and my video card is slacking. Its pretty much god aweful. Is there a way I can upgrade this?

Hello,

You have a PCI express x16 slot as well as x4, and x1.

You have a 375 Watt power supply that would be equal to about 425 Watt retail.  And in case your new video card requires a power cord as some now do, here is a list of your power supply connections. PCI express x16, is the way to go.

For your machine the best choice for upgrade would be a Nvidia 8800gt card. Will work well on your 375w supply and you have the required 6 pin power connector.
