Re: Suggestions for PCI X16 Video Card

Hi again,
Ok, I got the XFX GeForce 8600GT card. In the book, "It is advised to disable onboard graphics controllers either by jumperon the mainboard, or by changing graphics adapter priority in the BIOS, CMOS or hardware setup.". Aww man, is this gonna be a hassle? I really don't want to mess with the BIOS,CMOS, etc. and don't know what jumper to mess with.
Before I get into this, does anybody know if it really is as hard as it sounds. This is one computer part I have not messed with, ever.
I have the original CD with the "then current "drivers for the old card.
Another question... My LAN uses an Nvidia nForce 10/100 Mbps Ethernet. Is this part of the integrated graphics card on my system now? If I disable the graphics drivers for the card, or mess with the jumper, will it mess with my LAN? I see in the control panel there are 2 different add/remove programs, I guess 1 for each program.
Looking forward to excellent answers, as I usually get on these forums. Can't wait to get this card in here.
Thanks
