Installing XP Pro and drivers

I'm planning on using the SC440 as a media server and need XP Pro which I have installed. I consider myself an advanced user, but I can't figure out how to install the drivers. The "Configuration" page is in some kind of cryptic shorthand notation, and it's impossible to know what the box has in it. I would like to first install the network card and then go from there.

I find it more than a little curious that the drivers are on a DVD, yet the unit ships with a CD-ROM so there is no way for the system to read the disk. I had to first install a DVD ROM. Had I known that, I would not have purchased the unit. I would really be interested to know the thinking on this one.
